Color is rarely static. It is a reaction, an interplay of light, and chemistry. When we were thinking of the palette for this season, we didn’t want a flat pigment. We were searching for a feeling, and we landed on the concept of flux.
Specifically, we explored the idea of "something in a state of transition." Where the material is neither solid nor liquid, but somewhere in between. It is that fleeting moment where a material creates its own light before cooling into a permanent form.
The color of alchemy
We worked intimately with the Operations team to push the boundaries of our finishing processes. The goal was to break the flatness of standard consumer electronics.
For Ledger Nano S Plus (LNSP): We introduced—for the first time in our history—a metallic finish on the swivel. It catches the light, mimicking the flash of alchemical transition.
For Ledger Flex: We developed a subtle gradient. We wanted to capture the precise sensation of hot metal drying in violet—that cooling phase where deep crimson gives way to a cooler, structural purple.
The Crimson Magenta collection is more than a colorway; it is a visual metaphor for the E Ink technology that powers our secure touchscreens. Just as the casing colors suggest a shift in state, the E Ink particles inside are in constant flux, moving, settling, and rearranging.
From the metallic swivel to the drying violet gradient, this collection is a tribute to the beauty of things that change.
